  1. I purchased a chop saw dust hood for my Makita chop saw. as I attempted to install I found no receiver for the right hand aluminum strut that supports and affixes hood to saw. is there and adapter to solve this problem?

    • Hello Steve, Do you have the model number for the saw you are using? Most Makita saws have two accessory holes on the back of the saw. I have attached an image showing where these accessory holes are highlighted with the red circles. If you are using an accessory in one of the holes you may need to remove it to make the sawhood work. If you do not want to remove the accessory, you can find some way to attach a small piece of pipe that is the same inner diameter as your accessory holes somewhere on the back of the saw near the accessory hole. It is up to you how you would attach it. If you have a different saw please let me know so I can look it up. Thomas
